TIS is committed to continuously provide an environment that will facilitate teaching and learning as well as the wellbeing of students and staff. There will be regular assessments to enable the school to meet and adapt to contemporary needs and any changes that may be required. Parents are encouraged to contact the wellbeing office via Sandra.Thompson@tis.edu.gh should they identify any behaviour of concern with their children. The wellbeing office will reach out to the students and assist them with the required psychological support. Health Protocols • All students returning to school from outside the country, as per the current proto- cols, will be quarantined for two weeks on arrival. The necessary tests will be con- ducted after which students will be permitted to join the rest of the school. In view of this it will be recommended that international students return at least least two ahead of reopening (Models 2 or 3) • All students must report to school with a COVID-PCR test, completion less than three days prior to reporting.. • Screening questionnaires will be provided for everyone entering the school to help identify suspected cases. In addition, the temperatures of all entering the school will be checked. Persons identified with a fever will be encouraged to not enter the school premises. • On the campus, regular workshops on coughing etiquette, and the importance of social distancing will be organized. The wearing of face masks will be compulsory. • Daily temperature checks will be performed by the hostel parents. • Any student displaying symptoms suggestive of COVID-19 will be sent to the in- firmary for further evaluation by the medical staff that includes our school medical doctor and nurses. Students with persisting symptoms may be sent to designated temporary isolation units as decided by the medical team. TIS is registered with Port Medical Centre, The Lagoon Clinic (Community One) and The American In- ternational Hospital (Community 22). • Confirmed cases of COVID-19 will not be allowed into the school without an au- thorised medical clearance.
