Clive Amoh (Active member of both news reporting stations): I love the media. I love to get the right information to the people. And I love it when people love the information. In Grade 11 I joined the Insight group to make my dreams a reality. As a member of this group, I learned from my peers some pre- senting and broadcasting skills. In time I realized that my style was more freeform than that of Insight, and so together with some of my colleagues in the Enter- tainment Committee, Outsight was founded. Outsight wasn’t created to displace Insight. However, it was created to provide the students with something out of the routine assembly videos—something they could relate to. I am still a mem- ber of both groups and I think that they have given me similar exposure. Insight equipped me with the skills I needed to be in Outsight. Outsight, on the other hand, was a way for me to enjoy myself and entertain the students too. All in all, even though it is said to be a “competition” between both parties, it is evident both hold a deep respect for one another 53 |
