“ Taking the course was an irreplaceable experience and even though I can’t continue, I’d be lying if I said I didn’t use a lot of the skills I learned from the subject every day”. Fingers crossed for reintroduction next year? You never know. Passengers, at some point, we’ve all pictured how life would look in the near or distant future. And within these predictions, most of us have imagined writing exams and tests right from our laptop screens. Around may this year, that future would’ve been actualized as our MYP students would’ve been writing TIS’s first E-assessment. Unfortunately, this particular achievement had to be postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic (let’s call it Sister Rona, what do you think?) Additionally, this year we’ve had many examples that have proved that while the road to success may be rocky, it’s not an impossible drive. The school has seen its first-ever 44 IB points by Tiffany Agyarko and a perfect score in mathematics by Eyako Dzantor. Next up on this tour, we have a new hotel dubbed “HOC” that em- phasizes that this academic year TIS has had only one Head of Council. You’d ask “How is she going to bal- ance everything?, Can she overcome the challenges?” But, knowing Lydia Boahen, I don’t have many worries and you shouldn’t either. The last and possibly the most jarring change we’ve seen is dear Mrs. Rona, who decided to go on a world tour this year. The coronavirus pandemic has caused a rude and undeniable shift in our daily lives. However, despite how big this shift has been, the versatility of a 21st-cen- tury education has saved us - who needs to be in school to get an education? With the help of our new friend *coughs* jailor *coughs*, zoom we are able to have school, complete CAS activ- ities, and even socialize. And so far we’re surviving one tweet/ TikTok/facetime/house party/ zoom meeting at a time. Well, passengers, that’s all the tea for this academic year!
