TIS Magazine 2020

F irstly, we have pioneered two new courses in the IB Diploma Programme i.e Philosophy and Film! This academic year, TIS saw its first film student, Eric Kuffour Mensah who started taking an online course before we even knew it would soon become our reality. And he will be the first - and hopefully not the last -film students to be examined in TIS. We see you, Eric :) Aside from this, TIS welcomed a new set of philosophers. Yes, you read that right. With the introduction of philosophy as a new IB subject, TIS got its fair share of Dantes, Socrates, and Aristotles. These audacious students set them- selves apart from other students by studying the fundamental nature of knowledge, reality, and existence. Unfortunately, they had to discontinue the course with the departure of our beloved David Spooner. PitStop Gossip ages 12 magazines in and many can testify that TIS has not stayed the same. We crossed many hurdles, swerved countless potholes, and gone over too many milestones during this ride. And on this year’s journey, there have been a crazy amount of pit stops.
