I bid you a warm welcome to Tema International School (TIS).  Thank you for exploring our website. We are an inclusive K-12 international school located on two campuses in the Tema area of the Greater Accra Region of Ghana. We are an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School authorised to run the IB continuum for three of the four IB programmes namely the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP) and the Diploma Programme (DP).  Emphasis at TIS is on a holistic approach to our students’ development through our four pillars of Academics, Sports, Culture and Service.

One of our campuses houses our day school for Primary School pupils (Kinder – Grade 6).  Our other campus houses our Secondary School and residential facilities for students (Grades 7 – 12). All students attending the Secondary School are full boarders and benefit from a wide range of excellent extra-curricular activities that complement the IB programmes that they joined. Our Primary students benefit from an optional bus service, which runs along major routes linking TIS with the local environs.

The demography of TIS is very mixed with our students coming mostly from Ghana and the West Africa region. A good number of students join us from China, the Indian sub-continent, the United Kingdom and the United States and other European countries.  All our students grow in a safe and stimulating environment deliberately designed for experiential learning and creativity.  Professional and experienced staff guide them throughout their journey from K-12 to achieve their best level on our four pillars (Academics, Sports, Culture and Service).

Through our four pillars, there are many opportunities during the academic calendar when our students enjoy in-class and outdoor learning experiences whose evidence is displayed through end-of-unit celebrations, exhibitions, fairs, school productions and several other exciting annual events.
